The exact procedure recommended to you will be determined by your clinical and individual needs. This will be discussed during your initial consultation.
The maximum fees Dr Leech charges for consultations/procedures are:
- Initial Consultation and Ultrasound examination of veins: £220
- Follow up Consultation (if required): £175
- Insertion of Tunnelled Central Venous Catheter / Port: £595
- Insertion of PICC: £295
- One stop service - Consultation, Ultrasound examination of Veins & Insertion of Port: £795
- One stop service - Consultation, Ultrasound examination of Veins & Insertion of PICC: £495
- Removal of Tunnelled Central Venous Catheter / Port: £450
These fees are inclusive of local anaesthetic and sedation but do not include hospital fees. These will be charged separately in line with the insurer contract with the hospital.
Private Medical Insurance
Dr Leech is recognised by the following insurers:

- HEALIX
- SIMPLY HEALTH
- WPA
It is essential that you contact your insurance company before your procedure to obtain an authorisation code. Please note that you are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer.
Dr Leech has reached an agreement with the majority of insurers regarding his fees for consultations and vascular access procedures and invariably these fees are reimbursed in full.
If, in the unusual circumstance the insurance company informs you that there will be a shortfall (not including policy excesses, co-insurance agreements and policy restrictions), please get in touch and Dr Leech's secretary will contact the insurance company directly.
